I must say I am surprised by the comparison of “cheap” cover supervisors with butchers (“Supply teachers’ fury: hairdressers leave us short”, April 16). My local butcher has a very large house and a very nice Jag; he clearly does well for himself. (He deserves it, too - his sausages are amazing.)
