The TES, July 24, stated that Mandy Morgan, the first advanced skills teacher to be appointed, would get a pound;5,000 salary increase. This was incorrect and we apologise to Ms Morgan. The DFEE is providing up to pound;5,000 to enhance salaries of teachers who become advanced skills teachers. Ms Morgan, however, is already a head of department. Her new salary is yet to be decided.
