Pupils at Carmondean Primary in Livingston received a geography lesson from one of Britain’s top map-makers recently. Vanessa Lawrence, chief executive of Ordnance Survey, visited the school to promote the agency’s initiative of giving all P7 pupils in Scotland their own Explorer map.
More than 60,000 pupils at 1,925 schools are taking delivery of the maps this term. They will be useful for geography, environmental studies, citizenship and other studies.
