Tamasha Theatre Company, producers of plays drawn from the South Asian community in Britain and the Indian sub-continent - including East is East, which was made into a feature film - has planned a one-day conference for drama teachers on July 12 at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London, on “interculturalism”. Kristine Landn-Smith, co-founder of the company, says the TIME project (Tamasha Intercultural Millennium Education) aims to help teachers “take students on intercultural journeys”.
