Tamasha Theatre Company, producers of plays drawn from the South Asian community in Britain and the Indian sub-continent - including East is East, which was made into a feature film - has planned a one-day conference for drama teachers on July 12 at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London, on “interculturalism”. Kristine Landn-Smith, co-founder of the company, says the TIME project (Tamasha Intercultural Millennium Education) aims to help teachers “take students on intercultural journeys”. Speakers include Peter Muschamp, HMI and Vaya Naidu, international storyteller. Tel: 01747 858776. E-mail: bookings@time2001. co.uk Web: www.time2001.co.uk
