Maths - Resource of the week

What are they? TES Resources is now not only hosting the entire archive of Teachers TV content but has also begun to create collections of those materials in dedicated areas on the TES website. TES maths adviser Craig Barton has created a maths collection from the Teachers TV archive, containing links to videos on a variety of subjects.

How to use them? These videos can be used both in the classroom with your pupils and to develop your own teaching techniques. There are links to the Maths in the Real World series that Mr Barton calls “a really nice series of videos which reveals how maths creeps into everyday life. There are lots of opportunities to question your students on some of the challenges posed, so get ready on the pause button.”

Anything else? In this collection you will also find maths starters on location, videos of maths academic and TV star Marcus du Sautoy, and videos on maths in careers, which are great to watch with older pupils thinking about the next step.
