Invest in the best

There has never been a more important time to teach young people about finance. ING, The Baring Archive and East of England Broadband Network (E2BN) have joined forces to create Risks and Rewards, an interactive website demystifying the financial sector.

What is it?

The site, www.risksandrewards.co.uk, is divided into three areas:

Would you invest? Animated characters explain potential deals to give pupils the chance to try their hand at investment.

The City. Cartoons about an imaginary company explain loans, shares, bonds and other elements of the financial industry.

The story of Barings. Teaches pupils about Barings' history from its origins as a merchant bank in 1762 to its acquisition by ING in 1995.

What else?

Each area is supported by videos, images and downloadable worksheets with teachers' notes. Suitable for key stages 2-4.
