Age: 23. I’ve just watched the history students bring a dog on stage to illustrate how praise and rewards can be encouraging.

My interview outfit is brown shoes, black trousers, blue shirt, pink tie.

I’m really looking forward to my second teaching practice. Theory is useful, but you learn more in the classroom.

I’m nervous about getting a job and taking responsibility. When you’re on teaching practice you have a mentor, but when I’m on my own there will be no one to step in if things go wrong.

I couldn’t believe it when I was told that The TES wanted to interview me.

My biggest fear is finding myself without a job next year and having to do supply work to survive.

I would like to work in a small dynamic school in Wales. Big schools intimidate me.

I’ll probably work in a huge city in England.

Wales is fantastic because the parents here are enthusiastic about getting involved.

Damien Souza is studying a PGCE secondary course in French at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and starts his second teaching practice at Tywyn Secondary School.
