I want to become a teacher because... I had so many role models and I just cannot imagine anyone not wanting to become a teacher!
The biggest inspiration at school was... no one really. But my gran was a teacher and very passionate about her job. I was inspired by her enthusiasm and her attitude to her job and to life in general.
The most exciting thing that’s happened to me so far is... doing a class assembly. The feedback I got back was so positive.
I can’t wait for... the freedom of having my own class, taking the register, school plays, everything really. I have so many ideas I want to implement and I just cannot wait to start.
But I’m dreading... nothing. My mum thinks I’m an idealist and I think she’s right. Although I do worry about not finding a job.
I would like my first job to be in... next September, in a fixed post in a key stage 1 setting.
I’ll know I’m a teacher when... someone calls me Miss Roberts! Also seeing the change in the children one year on after I start teaching them. I’d love to imagine how much input I’ve had into their development.
If I wasn’t going into teaching I’d be... an actress. You’re performing to an audience in both instances.
This evening I’m... having a piano lesson, taking my dog for a walk and doing some work.
If I were education minister I would... show more interest in early years subjects and values which is something I care a lot about.
