Caedraw Primary School in Merthyr Tydfil was awarded a national runners-up award and a pound;1,000 prize for excellence in ICT form the British Educational Communications Technology Agency for outstanding practice and innovation at a ceremony in Birmingham on November 5. The school won the accolade in the inclusion category for promoting access to learning. ICT is generally considered to be under-resourced in Wales compared with England. Last year no schools from Wales won an award at the event.
