Michael Rosen kicks off Children’s Book Week on October 4

The Children’s Bookshow will be on the road throughout October, with 15 authors spread between venues from Torbay to Newcastle. Each stop will feature a mixture of bookshop events, public performances and schools programmes.

Michael Rosen kicks off Children’s Book Week on October 4 at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre and Val Bloom celebrates National Poetry Day, October 7, in Manchester Library Theatre. In Oxford, there’s a performance by Kevin Crossley-Holland on October 14 and Catherine Fisher is available for school visits on October 12-14.

Birmingham has Malachy Doyle at its Library Theatre on October 20, Francesca Simon is at the Crucible in Sheffield on October 22 (with James Riordan available for school visits October 20-22) and Leicester has Hugh Lupton and Daniel Morden at the Phoenix Arts Centre on November 16 (available for school visits November 15-17).
