MORE than pound;1 million of taxpayers’ money has been spent maintaining lists of parents eligible to vote on the future of grammar schools, it was revealed this week. In the only ballot under rules introduced by Labour, parents in Ripon, North Yorkshire, voted to retain the local grammar.
