England’s curriculum and exams regulator is likely to be sent to Coventry, it has emerged this week. The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority will move from its home in Mayfair near London’s Hyde Park to the Midlands city from 2008, if ministers approve a plan which its board has proposed in response to cost-cutting across Whitehall.
