AS someone who invests in technology without recourse to a government grant, I have no axe to grind, but the present computer scheme is not a good idea.
For starters I can see it working wonders for secondary cross-curricular co-operation!
It would be far better to target new teachers. After all, these days you can walk into a job with London Underground for more than the starting salary of a primary teacher.
