The number of P7 pupils failing to reach their expected 5-14 level D in at least one of the key subjects fell in 20 out of the 32 education authorities, according to a Sunday Times survey of performance in reading, writing and maths, The figures emerged from a Freedom of Information request since they are not published officially at national levels.
