THE Department for Education and Employment has written to all schools about the potential dangers of mobile phones and urged teachers to restrict their use to over-16s.

The advice, which is drawn from the Government-commissioned Stewar Report into the health risks of mobile phones, is included in the monthly mailing sent out to schools.

It outlines the dangers of radiation on developing brains and says that under-16s should only use mobiles in emergencies.
