From poster art to the torch relay, TES Resources user petermorris2001 has shared a number of London 2012 resources in French and German covering almost every aspect of the Games.
What’s included?
- Interactive comprehension activities: Pupils are given short paragraphs and must fill in the gaps to reveal facts about Olympic history and the London Games.
- Reading practice: a number of articles about the Paralympics, the Olympic torch and London’s security tests. Each activity includes four tasks: answering questions in English, finding statements given in English in the text, adapting phrases and a short writing activity.
- L’art Olympique and Olympische Kunst: PowerPoints including the 12 Olympic posters for London 2012. Each poster is followed by questions which encourage students to be art critics, give their opinion and discuss how it represents the Games.
