Je suis une celebrite
Having retuned your television last month, now you can turn to the box for some MFL inspiration with LNortcliffe’s I’m a Celebrity... past tense practice.
What is it?
A lesson that uses the French version of I’m a Celebrity, Get me Out of Here! as stimulus for practising the past tense, including:
A simple verb practice starter where pupils fill in the blanks.
Contestant profiles with comprehension questions.
Self-assessment grids so pupils can check their progress.
A diary-writing task where pupils role-play being one of the celebrities and discuss their latest experiences in the jungle.
What else?
Develop reading and writing skills by getting pupils to write their diaries as blogs for their classmates to look at. Alternatively, turn your classroom into a television studio and get pupils to present their own “in the jungle” interviews. They could bring in props and costumes and also write a production journal to develop their vocabulary.
