Does your primary school have an energy-saving campaign or recycling scheme? Or is it doing interesting work on wildlife conservation or organic gardening? If so, it could win pound;2,000 to develop new or existing environmental projects.

Pupils and teachers are being invited by the Scottish Executive to submit information about existing projects that fall within one of five categories: energy, waste, transport, biodiversity or food. Entries will be judged for evidence of pupils being involved in the project and the application process. The judges include representatives from ScottishPower, Eco-Schools Scotland, Learning and Teaching Scotland and WWF Scotland. The winning school will receive pound;2,000 and two runners-up pound;1,000.

Application forms have been sent to all primary schools in Scotland and must be in by December 22. Entries can also be submitted online.
