Money to stop drug misuse

A NEW pound;1 million scheme that aims to involve all sections of society in the battle against drugs misuse launched this week. Young people, ethnic-minority groups, ex-offenders and ex-drug addicts are among those invited to bid for grants of between pound;1,000 and pound;3,500 to und community anti-drugs projects. The DrugScope Millennium Awards scheme is funded by the Millennium Commission and supported by the Mentor Foundation (UK) and the Home Office Drugs Prevention Advisory Service.
