CNSA, the pre-school Gaelic council, is offering pound;1,000 to the Gaelic-medium pre-school group with the highest number of children made fluent in Gaelic by April 2008 using Total Immersion Plus methods.
A further pound;1,000 is offered to the adult language group with the highest number of fluent speakers by the same date. Again, to take part, the groups must employ TIP methodologies.
“TIP teaching is by far the best way to learn Gaelic fluently and quickly,”
said Finlay Macleoid of CNSA. “Such courses have proved their worth time and time again. The prizes are an incentive to encourage groups to use the system.”
Winners will be presented with their prizes at the CNSA annual conference in September 2008.
