LONDON universities could receive an extra pound;2 million a year towards the higher costs of training teachers in the capital. The Teacher Training Agency is consulting on plans for a “London premium” to top up its current funding per student, which would provide some help particularly with higher staff salaries. The additional payments could start next April.
