Complaints of bullying from children have risen 12 per cent in the past year to a new high, ChildLine said this week.

Just over 37,000 children rang the charity about bullying between April 2005 and March 2006.

But, although ChildLine took 7,000 more calls on bullying than in 20045, when the figure was 32,000, the proportion of bully-related calls stayed at 23 per cent.
