More to failure than bad results

It is unusual, but welcome, to see you quote the view that unsuccessful inspections may be related to wider issues such as funding problems and recruitment difficulties (TES, January 16). Maybe now there can be a more informed debate about why schools have problems - the new framework may, after all, be a blessing in disguise. Though, it has to be acknowledged, not for the headteachers who will have their best efforts rubbished by it.
