The Basic Skills Agency has extended its Quality Mark scheme to secondary schools. The scheme, which sets out minimum standards as part of a framework for improving performance and raising standards, operates in colleges and other institutions offering adult education, including prisons. The government-funded agency’s remit has recently been extended to schools.
