(Photograph) - Most of the 6,300 teachers at the top of the main grade who have applied to join the chartered teacher programme should be able to pick up a place.

Peter Peacock visited Glasgow City Council’s “playday” scheme on Wednesday - where he met Victoria McGloin (left), aged eight, and Hannah Scally, five - before moving on to launch the chartered teacher programme on which around 1,000 teachers have already embarked.
