There were no surprises in either the General or Credit papers for Standard grade drama, said Hugh Paterson, head of drama at George Watson’s College in Edinburgh.

The Credit paper covered most of the areas of the curriculum - such as drama structure, theatre arts, and visual and oral aspects of theatre, set, costume, make-up and conventions.

In the past, some General papers have contained questions which were “a bit ambiguous”, but there was nothing like that in this year’s paper. Mr Paterson liked the questions on voice and movement.
