Promaths guarantees that all primary pupils following its home study courses will improve their grades. If they do not, they will be entitled to tuition up to twice the value of the course being studied. The programmes, which cater for all abilities and allow children to work at their own pace, adopt a “multi-sensory approach” - aural, visual, tactile, tutorial and practical - and feature Professor Promaths, the robot “teacher”, and his child helpers. The cost works out at around Pounds 150 a year. Initial assessments are free. Details: Promaths, 2nd floor, Unit 5, Windsor Square, Silver Street, 01734 757933.
