IN June hundreds of children will be involved in the ever-expanding festival based in Spitalfields, the multi-cultural area of east London bordered by Brick Lane and the City.
The festival’s education and community programme encourages performers and composers to make music with pupils, elderly people and workers throughout the borough.
Spitalfields, in the borough of Tower Hamlets, became a gateway to Britain for many immigrant communities from the Huguenots in the 1680s to the Bangladeshis today.
