My world of (doesn’t) work

Any parentteacher concerned that a pupil won’t receive a careers interview under Skills Development Scotland’s ridiculous new model should just send the pupil down to the local SDS centre.

This appears to be what the savvy school staff are doing at the SDS office where I work as a careers adviser.

Mind you, teaching staff might not know where the local SDS centre is, as we appear to be closing more of them down or reducing their opening hours. Senior management are hell bent on overly promoting the My World of Work website - which, by the way, doesn’t work.

Angry Careers.
