* The NASUWT has had to resort to a county court judgment to force the Guru Nanak College, Hayes, Middlesex, which in September will become the first Sikh state school, to pay the costs of an industrial tribunal.

The tribunal found that the college had not paid in full the salary and pension contributions of an employee.

The school did not send a representative to the tribunal and the NASUWT had to take the case to court before the money awarded was paid.
