National apprentice of the year award winner Martin Clarke;Further education

(Photograph) - In the frame: trainee carpenterjoiner Martin Clarke, aged 20, has scooped the national apprentice of the year award. Martin, who works for Farnham Brothers at Yelverton in Devon, has achieved NVQ level 3 at Plymouth further education college after completing a three-year modern apprenticeship course. He has now started a two-year ONC course in construction studies. Martin collected his prize of a holiday in the Caribbean at the award ceremony which took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
