I’m glad Mike Kent feels it’s time to engage with the National College (“Logo lark is a National obsession”, July 16). I would like to reassure him that, in my experience, the college’s priorities are set at the right level. As the head of a school facing challenges, I am drawing on training for my middle leaders and bursar safe in the knowledge that the programmes are of a high quality. Mike’s alternative style needs to be recognised, but for those leaders who can’t learn successfully from their setting, the college has provided a lifeline. That’s why I think its priorities are right ... despite the website!
