* The cream of the world’s living 20th-century artists has been commissioned by The National Gallery to reinterpret 24 of its greatest Old Masters. The artists include Jasper Johns, David Hockney, Blthus, Cy Twombly, Frank Auerbach and Lucian Freud. Each artist will take one Old Master as inspiration for a new work and the results will be exhibited in June.
