The growing popularity of Urdu Standard grade is boding well for the introduction of the language at Higher in the coming school year.

There were 149 Standard grade candidates, up from 130 in 2006. The pass rate was 96 per cent and 72 candidates earned a Grade 1.

Urdu Standard grade has been on offer since 1995-96. It is Pakistan’s national language and one of the official languages in India.
