CHILDREN are the same the world over, as researchers learned last week during the international early education conference at Strathclyde University.
One Swedish lass was asked about going to school for the first time and summed it up rather succinctly: “It’s fun, gets boring but then you get used to it.”
Another was asked by her mother: “So what did you learn at school today?”
“Nothing.”
“What do you mean nothing?”
“Because the teacher has been talking all the time.”
