Needle attack was a ‘prank’

A 15-year-old boy faces exclusion from school after jabbing fellow pupils with a sewing needle. Peter Phillips, head at West Monmouth school, Pontypool, South Wales, said between 10 and 20 children were targeted as they travelled home by bus. “It was a prank that went wrong,” he said. A spokeswoman for Gwent police confirmed that a report had been received about the incident.
