Neglect worries over summer break

More than a quarter of parents of youngsters below the age of 18 think children are more likely to be neglected during the summer holidays than in term time, according to a YouGov poll. Fourteen per cent of parents are going as far as feeding other people's children, while 9 per cent are having children to stay because of fears they are not being fed or looked after properly in their own homes, the survey commissioned by charity Action for Children found.
