The School Libraries Association (SLA) has published a 40-page booklet for school librarians struggling with the Internet. The Internet, the Secondary School Library and the Independent Learner (pound;8.50, pound;7 for SLA members) includes case studies of how schools librarians with differing amounts of Internet experience work with a range of year groups across the curriculum and gives examples of good practice and details of useful educational websites.
