The Netherbow Theatre is to close for two years at the end of the Edinburgh Festival to undergo redevelopment as the Scottish Storytelling Centre. The project will cost pound;3.4 (pound;3.24?) million.
Netherbow director Donald Smith says that while there will be no drama until the centre reopens with a new theatre, the work of the National Storytelling Network will continue around the country and venues will include the Scottish Book Trust’s new base next door.
