Following sensational tabloid revelations about pupils from St Aloysius’
College being involved, or not, in an orgy of destruction at an “empty” in a Glasgow west end house, rumours are flying round the parent body as to whether or not the kids of new heidie John Stoer, the first layman to rule the school, were at the party.
As one mum wistfully reflected: “At least we didn’t have to worry about what the headmaster’s kids were up to when a Jesuit was in charge.”
Or, as they now say at the school, altering slightly a Jesuit education dictum: “Give me the house at seven and I’ll show you a good time.”
