New addition to post-16 maths

Experts have welcomed plans for a curriculum to teach post-16 students maths to help them tackle “real life” problems. The Advisory Committee on Mathematics Education has voiced support for a course to ensure pupils keep studying maths until the age of 18. Education secretary Michael Gove pledged #163;275,000 in funding to explore how more students will study maths after GCSE.
