New head for deaf school;In brief

THE NEW principal of Donaldson’s College, the national deaf school in Edinburgh, is Janet Allan, assistant head at George Heriot’s fee-paying school in the city for the past nine years. Mrs Allan succeeds David Scott, who resigned following allegations of physical abuse made by pupils. She is a former senior educational psychologist in Strathclyde .
