Kathleen Tattersall, the former head of Britain’s largest exam board, is to lead a new body aiming to support examiners.

The Institute of Educational Assessors, which will be launched next week, has been set up by the National Assessment Agency to offer a forum for examiners to discuss assessment issues. It also aims to represent their views in discussions with the Government.
