Maths

In a “bearings” problem devised by Craig Barton, pupils become the captain of the Airbus A320 and it’s their job to plot three days of flights around western Europe. Along the way they encounter and revise bearings in a real-life setting.

Spelling

Miss boom has created an engaging spelling exercise based on the mobile app Draw Something. Pupils watch a picture being drawn on the board and try to guess what it is. They must unscramble the anagram to decipher the image.

Environment

The TES World Environment Day (5 June) collection can help raise awareness about this year’s theme, “Green economy: does it include you?” Pupils can report the facts with a global warming newspaper project or role play as school inspectors and analyse how sustainable your site is.
