Next term’s guest poet will be John Mole (left). He is head of the English Department at St Alban’s School and a seasoned TES reviewer. He is also a jazz clarinettist and often combines music and poetry in festival performances.

John Mole has published several collections of poetry for both adults and children, including, in 1995, his Selected Poems (Sinclair-Stevenson). His latest collection for children is Hot Air (Hodder) and in 1997 Kingfisher will be publishing Copy Cat, a picture book by John Mole which is illustrated by Bee Willey.

Send poems as soon as possible to The Times Educational Supplement, Admiral House, 66-68 East Smithfield, London E1 9XY. Please give the name and age of the poet, the name and address of the school and the name of the relevant teacher.

Poems must be original and should be no more than 20 lines long. Please keep a copy as they cannot be returned.
