The next trick

Raising the school leaving age, with more learners going to college - great idea. Just one thing, where are we going to put them and what will they be taught? Extended days, weekend working, traditional holidays gone. The possibilities are endless.

There is already a lack of provision for many groups of learners, including those with learning difficulties andor disabilities. Of course, the Government may get around access and opportunity issues using the old trick of stating that full-time provision may only mean being taught for 12 hours a week over three days - a very good ploy.
