Prime Minister Theresa May has announced that Nick Gibb will stay on as minister of state for schools. 

After eduation secretary Nicky Morgan had been replaced with Justine Greening there was speculation Gibb could be off too, but on Sunday morning it was announced that he had held on to his job. 

This is despite backing Boris Johnson and then Michael Gove, rather than May in the Tory leadership race.
