IT CAME as rather a surprise to read the article “French declines in Jersey” (TES, April 2), which said only 52 students took A-level last year in Jersey and A-C grades were gained by 46.2 per cent . It also said that there were only three grade As in the whole island.
I can tell you that 10 of our students sat A-level French and five of them got grade As. A-C grades were 70 per cent. Not bad for “disappointing performances”.
