A school bus driver who sent a 12-year-old girl a mobile phone video message of a man being beheaded escaped being sent to jail this week.

John Stoneman, 39, from Yeovil in Somerset was given a six-month suspended sentence after pleading guilty to communicating a video message that contained material of an indecent or grossly offensive nature. He was ordered to pay the teenager pound;50 compensation for forwarding her the Russian video clip of a man’s decapitation.
