Exam board OCR did not bow to pressure from Adam Mytton, or anyone else, in respect of its decision to add boxing to the list of additional activities recognised for the PE A-level specification. The decision was made by a special panel created as a result of OCR’s own independent appeals committee recommending that we look again at the decision not to allow it.

The special panel received representations from a number of sources and made its decision in the light of those representations.
